Palazzo Grassi dedicates a solo exhibition to Luc Tuymans
Unique visual language
How real is reality? Or: How credible is our image of reality? The Belgian painter Luc Tuymans, who studied art history after studying free art, has developed a remarkable visual language and aesthetics, which always challenge historical and political events. In the mid-1980s Luc Tuymans began creating his figurative works, half dream-like, half documentary. Today he is one of the most influential painters on the international art scene.
The Palazzo Grassi in Venice presents over 80 works from the Pinault Collection, international museums and private collections and concentrates on the artist's paintings from 1986 to the present day.
