Arman was a co-founder of the 'Nouveau Réalistes', who no longer wanted to create art with brush and paint, but used found objects to design their works.
The main feature of Arman's art was the combination of findings and garbage to form assemblages, accumulations and collages as well as the continuous repetition of motifs and objects. All of his actions suggest criticism of the consumerism in our society and of the art industry.
