Botero in Berlin - 15 Years ago

One of the highlights within many decades of collaboration with Fernando Botero took place 15 years ago today. We fondly remember the exciting

exhibition project 'Botero in Berlin'.

Against the magnificent backdrop of Berlin's Lustgarten, the Colombian Embassy, under the patronage of the City of Berlin and supported by Galerie Thomas and Allianz Versicherung, presented an impressive selection of monumental bronze sculptures by the most successful Colombian artist of our time,

Fernando Botero, from September 25 to November 25, 2007.

Fifteen of the colossal artworks were on display in Berlin's Lustgarten, while another one was placed in front of the Brandenburg Gate at the artist's explicit request.
