Brücke und Blauer Reiter

Opening on March 26, 2022, Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz is staging a comprehensive exhibition of some of the most significant masterpieces of Modernist art, including works by Wassily Kandinsky, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Paul Klee, Franz Marc, Emil Nolde and Karl Schmidt-Rottluff. There are few other artists who embody the development of early Modernism in Germany more fully than members of the 'Brücke' and 'Blauer Reiter', now synonymous for the expressionist avant-garde before the First World War, freedom and change. The exhibition is on view through June 26, 2022.
