Fernando Botero: Sensuality and Melancholy

Fundación Bancaja presents a retrospective of Fernando Botero in Valencia through 3 September 2023. The exhibition "Fernando Botero. Sensuality and Melancholy" features 45 works from the 1960s to recent watercolours.

The five thematic sections carnival, circus and ball, plein air, still life, female universe and night refer to central topics of the artist's work.

Botero plays with different levels and proportions of objects and figures. The Colombian artist is one of the most important living Latin American painters.
