Max Beckmann in Hamburg and Brühl

At the end of September, two new exhibitions will start, showing works by one of the great modern artists.

The exhibition 'Max Beckmann - feminine - masculine' at Kunsthalle Hamburg is dedicated to the social relevance of gender in the artist's work.

In Brühl the special exhibition 'Max Beckmann - Day and Dream. A Journey from Berlin to New York' highlights important stations of the painter, who was born in Leipzig and died in New York.
